Who we are - at Trinity
Trinity Episcopal Church is a warm and welcoming family church - the only Episcopal Church in Greeley, Colorado. We are a community of apprentices of Jesus. We use the term apprentice on purpose, because you can only be apprenticed to a living master. We believe that Jesus is truly who He says He is and that He is in charge of our lives both individually and corporately.
As apprentices we are all learning to be like Jesus. We are all on our own spiritual journeys, but we come together as the Trinity community to pray, worship, work, and have fun. As you will see after visiting us, we believe strongly in spiritual formation, outreach into our community, and caring for one another.
We believe that God has called us to live and work in this place; in other words, to work with God and to build God’s kingdom here in Greeley and Northern Colorado. We know we don’t always get it right, but we also believe, that when we don’t, God will show us a better way.
A surprising number of our parishioners are cradle Episcopalians, even cradle Trinitarians, but we are balanced by members who are from many religious backgrounds. Our congregation is beginning to reflect a greater diversity as new members join us, particularly from the Latino community, which constitutes a large percentage of Greeley’s population. Services can be quiet and contemplative, or joyfully active, but the primary focus is always to acknowledge the holiness of god, to hear God’s Word, to offer prayer, and to celebrate the sacraments in our beautiful sanctuary.
