Family and Children’s Ministry
Our 2023-2024 Sunday School year is in full swing. Children begin our 9:30 service with their parents. After the Collect, they are called up for a blessing at which time they depart for their class. Our class begins with prayer time in the chapel and then we move into the Parish Hall for stories, games, and other activities. Children return back to the service shortly before Communion. Sunday School is open to all children preschool through fifth grade. We also have a nursery available for our youngest children if desired.
Our Summer Sunday School offers a fun and active curriculum. Our lessons cover a different topic each month.
June - Science Magic. We will explore the amazing world God has created with lots of science experiments. Get your goggles on and be ready to have some fun, see some cool stuff, and find out how it all relates to our faith in a creative, mystical God!
July - Peter, Paul and Pool Noodles. Peter and Paul are two giants in our faith history. But what do they have in common with pool noodles? You’ll just have to come and find out! Learn more about these guys and see what they can teach us about our faith through the eyes of the pool noodle.
August - Puppets and Parables. If you have the theater bug, this will be fun! We’ll act out some of our most beloved parables using puppets and also try our hands at making some puppets that we will donate to Children’s Hospital.
We strive to make our lessons as engaging as we can, making the stories of Jesus relevant in a fun, safe environment. If you are exploring our website, looking for a way for your children to learn more about God’s great love, please email me. I would love to reach out and see if I can help you get connected with us. - Meg Gallegos
