Journey to Bethlehem
Trinity
What are you longing to experience this Advent and Christmas season? What are you yearning to discover and how will you prepare yourself for the coming of the light of God into a world navigating a season of deepening darkness?
This year Advent will be like no other, and yet it will be like all others, with each of us embarking on a journey to Bethlehem and drawing nearer to the mystery of God made human as we make our way through the weeks of Advent. This is both a profoundly inner journey, and it is also a hope-filled outward journey we make together—with the people in our families, circles of friends, and communities of faith, following in the footsteps of all those who have gone before.
This year we invite you to join us on an Episcopal Church in Colorado hybrid Journey to Bethlehem. All ages are welcome, as are extended friends and family members across the country and world. Through marking time with a special Advent calendar, engaging in experiences and discoveries along the way, participating in unique worship experiences, and gathering regularly online with companions on the journey, we will arrive in Bethlehem together and celebrate the 12 days of Christmas, ending our journey with a closing
Twelfth Night celebration on Epiphany, January 6. Each household will receive a care and preparation package with materials for the journey before it begins. Cost: $50/individual adults; $65/couples; $75/for families of origin or intention (including children). Half of all registration fees will be donated to American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. Financial assistance is available.
